Porsche luxury hotel ruled out as the automaker sells the German castle

Porsche, the German luxury sports car manufacturer, has put the Bavarian castle on sale. The castle situated near the famous Neuschwanstein castle in Alps Mountains, southern Germany, was bought by Porsche in 2006 for a whopping $8 million. A company spokesman was quoted saying that Porsche is parting company with the estate. Purchased under previous boss Wendelin Wiedeking, there were plans to transform the 180,000 sq m, Schloss Bullachberg, castle into a luxury hotel. However, the required renovation work never got underway and now they have made the decision to sell the castle.
