Rizk Auto adds a modern touch to the 1957 Aston Martin DBR2

Many have tried to mix the classic with the modern. But very few have emerged successful in this task. Rizk Auto in Phoenix, Arizona can proudly claim to be one of the few who managed to strike the right balance between the vintage and the contemporary. The mechanical geniuses have created a winner with their latest creation – a speedster inspired by the classic 1957 Aston Martin DBR2 which has been rebuilt around a modern chassis designed using Formula One technology by a former Formula One engineer. Like most modern cars these days, the RA DBR2 boasts of carbon-fiber body panels lined with Nomex and thus is extremely lightweight. Each beauty is built to custom order. Thus, prospective buyers can specify their choice of powertrain options between Jaguar-derived inline-six and V12 engines or a Corvette LS3 V8. This car is also the first passenger vehicle to use Aerogel as its primary insulating material.
