The 2016 Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster is here

At the Monterey Car week in California Lamborghini has taken the wraps off a new Aventador. It is lighter, a bit more powerful and comes with a folding top. The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster gets a 50 hp bump than a regular Aventador roadster, the V12 naturally aspirated 6.5 liter engine delivers 750 hp and is mated to a 7-speed transaxle and Haldex performance-oriented AWD system. It is 110 lbs lighter than its standard roadster counterpart. Despite loosing the top, 0 to 60 mph is quick at 2.96 seconds with a max speed of 217 mph.

Being Lamborghini the two-piece hard top is made from carbon fiber and comes off in two pieces to stow in the luggage compartment. Production and deliveries start next year with each of these 500 raging bulls selling for $530,075 in the US.
