The 2017 Mercedes E Class is official and it sure is a show stopper

It’s that time of the year when car manufacturers around the globe update their offerings and like everyone else, Mercedes Benz too has unveiled a revised model. The 2017 E-Class is here, with enough power to give you a neck-ache every time you push the pedal to the floor. The car will be made available in the United States and will pack a mighty 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder under its hood. With this, the new E-Class is capable of producing 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, with help from the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission. While the power numbers might not seem too hefty for supercar fans, this is a significantly good performance for a mid-size luxury car.

The E-Class is one of Mercedes Benz’s most popular cars worldwide, for good reason. The car’s luxurious, small enough to drive around town on a daily basis, yet flashy enough to turn heads. This is the first gasoline 4-cylinder engine in the E-Class in the United States. Previously, Mercedes Benz has stuck with diesel powered 4-cylinder engines. The updated car will also come with a bunch of goodies inside, including wipe controls on the steering wheel, a new dual-screen dashboard, an updated infotainment system and a bunch of safety features like automatic braking and a driver-alert system.
