Feeling lucky? Try your hand to win a night at an apartment in the Eiffel Tower!


Known to be one of the most-visited places in the world, the Eiffel Tower is considered a monument to romance in popular culture. The tower even features a glass floor to amp up the adventurousness. Now, for the first time ever, you could have the opportunity to spend a night at the famous lattice metal tower!

Vacation rental company HomeAway is hosting a contest on their website that invites participants to relate what they would do if the Eiffel Tower was theirs for just one night in 140 characters. Whoever submits the winning answer wins a trip that includes an overnight stay in an exclusive apartment in the Eiffel Tower during the UEFA EURO 2016 soccer tournament. The temporary abode is complete with bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and lounging area and of course, those unbeatable views of the city. Thw inner can bring up to five guests to partake of the prize.
“HomeAway is all about helping travelers make amazing vacation memories, so of course we thought of the Eiffel Tower as the ideal spot to make the most unforgettable vacation memory of all for some lucky travelers,” Brian Sharples, CEO and Co-Founder of HomeAway, told Travel + Leisure. “We’re also making a bit of history, as no tourist has ever gotten to sleep inside before. Many of our travelers fall in love with the home as much as the destination and we think this is probably the most special ‘home’ we’ve had the privilege of opening to our customers.”
Winners will enjoy dinner and breakfast in the Tower apartment and will also be treated to an extra 3 nights in Paris in a HomeAway vacation rental. The flight fare will be sponsored by Expedia. The contest is only open to U.S. citizens.
