Fancy a spa treatment while watching glaciers float by?

Cruises aren’t only about soaking in the sun and enjoying the ocean views anymore. Considering that relaxation is the topmost agenda when it comes to it, world-renowned Hapag-Lloyd cruises like many of its competitors have rolled out an all-new, state-of-the-art spa and fitness center onboard its luxury cruises – Hanseatic nature, Hanseatic inspiration, and the company’s international expedition ship – and Hanseatic spirit.

Inspired wholly by nature, the ‘Ocean Spa’ as it is called, incorporates elements of the environment in everything from the ingredients used in treatments to the design of the treatment rooms. The 233-meters space features floor-to-ceiling windows with an earthy décor and comes equipped with an outdoor area for relaxing, a Finnish sauna, a steam sauna, a hydrotherapy shower, an ice fountain as well as a hairdressing salon. Decked right next to it is a 100 meter-squared fitness area stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and a fitness studio that offers panoramic oceans views on all sides. There is also a trainer available onboard along with personal training classes, Pilates and Antarctic sun salutation sessions for all.

Following the ethos of all things natural, the Ocean Spa will only use sustainable products with natural ingredients produced by Vinoble, Hyapur, John Masters Organics, and Nailberry, and maintain a prime focus on vegan formulas and the use of local produce. While Hanseatic nature and Hanseatic inspiration will set sail in April and October respectively, Hanseatic spirit will hit the waters later in 2021. Well, you know where to head for some ‘Ocean’ Therapy!
