Feeling adventurous? Check-in to transparent pods hooked 400 feet on a Peruvian cliff

It’s a superlative not too commonly used when trying to sell a hotel to a guest, but the Natura Vive Skylodge in Peru, made up of three clear capsules hanging from a cliff in Peru’s Sacred Valley has got to be the most terrifying hotel in the world! Travelers will be sleeping 400-feet up the side of a cliff they would’ve climbed to get to. Check-out is relatively easier as a zip wire takes you back down again.

The Natura Vive Skylodge is composed of three capsule suites, which can sleep a total of eight people. The suite comes complete with four beds, a dining area and a private bathroom separated from the bedroom, with ecological toilet and sink. The completely transparent pod is made using aerospace aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate and offers 300-degree vistas of the stunning Sacred Valley. Guests will sleep on high quality mattresses, cotton sheets, down pillows and quilts to ensure a good night’s sleep. The package also includes breakfast and a gourmet dinner with wine.

There’s plenty of fresh air as the pods come fitted with six windows and four ventilation ducts while safety is ensured by having the exit portal located in the upper part of the craft. The dome also has curtains for privacy from the curious gaze of passing condors.
Those brave enough to sleep a night in a Natura Vive Skylodge Adventure must climb the cliff using a Via Ferrata or hike an intrepid trail through ziplines. This cliff-hanging experience complete with climb and zip-lining costs £200 ($312).
