Following New York, and coming in second on this list is Venice with average room charges per night coming to NZD$323 ($233).
The city that will play host to the 2012 Olympics, London comes in at number three with average room rates per nights coming to NZD$287 ($208).
The capital of USA, Washington DC is number four with average room charges per night coming to a cool NZD$286 ($207).
Rounding off the top five and tying with Washington DC is the romantic city of Paris, with average room charges per night said to be around NZD$286 ($207).
