If the heavy traffic is the only thing deterring you from showing up at CES 2016, Uber has good tidings for you! The cab company is now offering helicopter rides to those visiting CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The new service, called UberChopper, will be available in Las Vegas through local helicopter operator Maverick Helicopters. After opting for the service, an Uber driver will pick you up in a car and drop you to Maverick’s Las Vegas strip terminal at the McCarran International Airport. From there, you can hop aboard your scheduled flight and take to the air in a chopper.
The helicopters being offered by Maverick can accommodate up to seven passengers. Rides will cost $99 and upwards and the helicopters will be available only between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. from January 6 through 9. To book an UberChopper, simply login to the Uber smartphone application in Las Vegas and select the “chopper” option. This is a great way to beat the traffic during CES 2016, enabling you to spend more time at the trade show and less time on gridlocked streets. While this isn’t a permanent service that will compete with the likes of Blade, UberChopper is indeed a handy companion during this January’s tech fest!
