Uber introduces on-demand private jet service UberJET for the Cannes Film Festival

There is no doubt that the global shared car service app Uber has shaken the up the taxi markets around the world, but the company in its pursuit to grow is exploring new frontiers. The smartphone-based cab service has launched UberJET which is a private airline service that’ll operate during the forthcoming Cannes Film Festival. Starting from 14th May till 18th, users will be able to book an Uber Black car that will take them to Paris’ Bourget airport, where a jet operated by Goodwill Airlines will fly them to Nice. Another Uber car will be waiting there that will drive the users to Cannes. The UberJET ride will cost $8,930, which can be split three-way as apparently there is seating for three.
