Only the best gather at Abu Dhabi for the World Luxury Expo


The World Luxury Expo 2013 is all set to open doors next month in Abu Dhabi at the Emirates Palace from September 27-29, 2013. Since its launch the World Luxury Expo series has gained much momentum amongst many of the world’s leading luxury brands. Its first event this year was held at Burj Al Arab, Dubai in January this year followed by one in February at the palatial Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh. LuxuryLaunches will be present and cover the Abu Dhabi event extensively, so watch this space for more.

The by-invitation only event will bring together some of the world’s top luxury brands for three days for high-net worth private clientele from across the GCC region. Featuring a broad selection of luxury categories, the event will see fine art, high-end jewelry and fashion, hand-crafted time pieces, designer furniture and exquisite table settings, automobiles, fine dining, private aviation, and luxury travel suppliers all under one roof.

Abu Dhabi which is positioning itself as one of the luxury retail capitals of the world makes it a strategic and important market for such an event. According to Knight Frank’s Wealth Report 2013, the number of high net worth individuals (HNWI) in the UAE, having a fortune of $30 million , is set rise by 53 per cent over the next decade.

Among those participating are Porsche Abu Dhabi, who see the event as the perfect opportunity to showcase Porsche’s first ever Panamera Executive model, with their 15 cm longer wheelbase. Another exhibitor, Moiseikin Jewellery will bring to the Expo their “Imperial Collection” which features the ‘Horn of Plenty’ tourbillon time piece valued more than $1.5 million and consists of over 4,000 diamonds with the total weight of 30 carats.

Gold & Co. London will showcase its 24-carat, gold-plated bronze, pure bred Arabian Stallion created by Don Alberto Carlos, which stands at 2.85m tall and priced at $163,354 while B5 Art of Living LLC will present an innovation from human biophysical medicine, the Human Regenerator. This unique technology in rejuvenation, health and well-being is valued at over $544,000 and stems from the principle that everything, including matter, consists of physical stem cell information according to quantum physics.

Other exhibitors include perfumerie House of Sillage, the finest Swiss-made Rebellion time pieces, Cornelio Cappellini, Giorgio Collection, Mariner furniture, Italian jeweler, Giarletta Rosmundo who will be presenting the famed Al-Noor Jewel, fine artwork by Marie Josée Primeau, Dubai-based luxury Al Barari Luxury Villas, collectors pieces by Italian Gold Line, a presentation of The Royal Collection by Sony and one of the world’s most expensive headscarves by Kashperia.

From Abu Dhabi, the Expo will move to Doha from November 14-16, 2013. Then Kuwait in December and returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2014, creating an annual series of luxury events across the GCC region.
