The Serpenti saga at Bulgari continues this year, but only with more aplomb and surprising variations like never seen before. This year, the watch- manufacturing giant has customized the classic female wrist band with new straps made from Karung, a non-venomous water snake whose particularly thin and supple skin features scales mid-way between those of a lizard or the more customary snake variation. Uber precious, original and highly inventive, the new Serpenti collection is certainly something to look out for.
Though novel, the assortment stays true to the nature of the serpent that is its only muse and presents a unique amalgamation of class and modernity with each of its touches. Thanks to the unique innovations in the collection, the Serpenti can now be transformed in a jiffy with an extremely practical fastening system that makes the straps easily interchangeable by the wearer on all models, ranging from a steel or pink gold case, with or without diamonds. Each watch is further made available to the buyers in two straps – one in Karung and the other in calfskin, that can also have incorporated in the color of their choice. Bulgari will also cater to those who wish to customize their Serpenti from scratch, with an available feature palette that rounds up to a total of 312 variations.
The new collection was recently unveiled at the Baselworld, 2017 alongside another fresh assortment of the Octo Finissimo for men. As for the customizable Serpenti, the watch will be made available to enthusiasts from May in selected Bulgari stores. (with a fully supporting app-based mechanism). The prices for thy precious though remain undisclosed for now.
