ArtyA Son of Sound guitar-shaped watch to debut at Baselworld 2013

You can always expect the unexpected from ArtyA. It’s one of those brands that don’t fail to stun with their new creations. Quite a number of instances have witnessed ArtyA’s creative spins in watch-making. Starting from its Blood and Bullet make to its bold Sun of a Gun watch, the outrageous Euro mockery to the mesmerizing Liquid Dial, the Rock and Roll Styler to something as grossly luxurious as ArtyA’s make in dinosaur faeces and toad skin (!) and not to forget its attempt at a horological piece of art, ArtyA has been applauded and glorified. Of-late, the notorious watchmaker seems to have sobered don with its new range of collection – the Son of Sound, which represents an ode to something as simple as a guitar! With its case shaped like the end of a guitar, the Son of Sound range of ArtyA watches are elegant pieces of art that have incorporated guitar-style elements onto it, inclusive of an elegant replication of the strings on a guitar.

With its clean and well-defined shape, the new range of ArtyA sports 42mm wide cases in different makes of steel, titanium, PVD black steel and 18-carat Rose gold. The Son of Sound has two variations: one that’s chronographed and the other, a double retrograde dial. High-end and mechanically automated, the watches are a collaborated effort with high-end designers as Concept and SC2.
