Bell & Ross unveils the Vintage WW1, the Original Carbon Black BR 123 and the 39 mm BR S wrist watches

There very little more appealing than black and Bell & Ross know it well. The Franco-Swiss company has unveiled its new 2011 collection at Baselworld – the WW1, the Original Carbon Black BR 123 and the 39 mm BR S. The collection pays homage to the era where ‘pocket watches were making the historical transition to officers’ wrists’. The new retro range will feature the Vintage WW1 watch, with pocket-watch-styled lugs and a domed sapphire crystal as well as a tweaked case format in tribute to the pilots of the ’40s and the ’50s who wore wristwatches as an essential instrument.

The collection features the Original Carbon Black BR 123 boasting different shades of black and innovative technologies allowing the use of resistant dark coatings from PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) to carbon. The collection also features the iconic square BR 01 Instrument originated in a cockpit clock. The BR 01-92 Red Radar is inspired by air traffic control radars. The range is expected to create a big impact on the brand’s new fan base in Asia.
