The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicked-off last week in Brazil and the whole world’s attention is focused on the football-crazy South American nation. The festivities have just begun and will continue till the mid way of the next month and brands from across the globe are using the opportunity to launch special edition Brazil-centric products. Swiss Luxury brand Bvlgari is the latest to join the bandwagon and has introduced a limited edition timepiece in line with the grand spectacle. To pay tribute to Brazil, Bvlgari has wrapped its Octo Bi-Retro watch with Brazil’s national color of blue, yellow and green. Only 50 of these timepieces, each individually numbered, will go on sale.

According to Bvlgari, the special edition timepiece is created by the master artisans of the Manufacture Bvlgari, at the heart of the Swiss Jura and the dial of the Octo Bi-Retro Brazil is meticulously hand-crafted in three different colors using the precious champlevé technique, a delicate and complex exercise. But in addition to the aesthetics of the watch, Bvlgari’s watch making prowess is illustrated with this limited edition timepiece. The watch sports a 43 mm case in steel with ceramic and rhodium inserts and comes equipped with a mechanical self-winding Caliber GG7722 with a 45-hour power reserve.
