ChronoMaster XXT Tourbillon By Zenith

The hottest from Zenith is this limited edition of 50 pieces of its Tourbillon Concept chronograph. El Primero movement is an undisputed technical feat, acclaimed as the world’s only chronograph with a heart beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, thus enabling precision measurements to within the nearest tenth of a second. The Tourbillon is the world’s greatest horological complication, aimed at compensating for the effects of gravity by placing the escapement within a revolving carriage. To associate both concepts means defying the laws of kinetics. Movement is the new El Primero caliber 4005C with 35 jewels, beating at 36,000 bph and with a power reserve of 50 hours. The rotor is done in 22kt gold.

Functions include hour and minutes in the center, date indication positioned around the carriage, a Tourbillon – the carriage is positioned at 11 o’clock and makes 1 turn per minute. Center seconds-hand with a 30-minute counter is at 3 o’clock and the 12-hour counter is at 6 o’clock. The case measures 45mm and is done in 18kt white gold as are the pushbuttons and the crown. The crystal is sapphire as is the display back. It is water-resistant to 30 meters. The hands and indices are also in 18kt black gold. The strap is an alligator with an 18kt white gold buckle.
