Hublot MP-05 ‘LaFerrari’ Sapphire tourbillon

Hublot has had a long and illustrious relationship with the Italian supercar giant, Ferrari. Together, the two companies have been churning out the eye-catching and technologically advanced MP-05 timepiece since 2013, and the watch has never failed to make heads turn. Hublot has reinvented the watch recently and has unveiled the MP-05 ‘LaFerrari’ Sapphire, in celebration of the Italian hypercar it is named after. The watch now sports a sapphire case middle with 7 individual components crafted from seven separate blocks of sapphire. To create this, the folks at Hublot take 600 hours apiece! The watch sports 637 individual components, apart from the sapphire parts, and also boasts of a suspended vertical tourbillon.

One of the most impressive features of this watch, apart from the fact that it actually resembles a Ferrari engine, is the fact that it provides a massive 50-day power reserve. To wind the watch, a wearer must use a miniature power drill tool, inspired by the tool required to change tires in F1! Hublot has made sure that this watch is unique in all entireties, and has added a transparent silicon strap. Only 20 units of the gorgeous MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire will be created and sold, making this watch truly unique, with a price tag of $300,000 a piece.
