Louis Vuitton debuts Tambour Moon collection of watches

Louis Vuitton is making their presence felt in the luxury watch category with the launch of their Tambour Moon collection. The watch is distinguishable by its case middle that has a concave curve to it that gives it a crescent shaped profile, which in turn inspired the name Tambour Moon.

The collection includes watches for men and women in different case sizes. The 18 piece women’s collection includes case sizes ranging from 25mm to 39.5 mm with dials in black, white and even mother-of-pearl. All the watches feature stainless steel cases and are powered by quartz movements. The monogram four corner star is a signature detail at 6 o clock.

The models for men are all powered by self-winding mechanical calibres housed in 41.5 mm and 44mm stainless steel cases. Even though the design and colors of these models are largely neutral and inoffensive, the yellow hands and details on every single watch seem out of place and unnecessary.

All the watches allow the wearer to change the straps at will thanks to a patented system integrated into the strap. With 40 different straps available for each collection (male and female), those who love a daily customization will be excited. Our favorites were the Tambour Moon Star 39.5 (sans diamonds) which is actually a better unisex option than any watch from the collection intended for men. It’s priced at $4,795 and can be purchased through the link below.
