Louis Vuitton Spin Time Regatta watch titanium edition launched

When Louis Vuitton first introduced the Tambour Spin Time collection back in 2010, its unique and innovative way of telling the time created a buzz in the industry. The hours revealed by the five rotating cubes that rotated simultaneously to show either a neutral or numbered face is its central feature. Building on this movement, Louis Vuitton developed the collection with a model dedicated to regattas: the Tambour Spin Time Regatta. The timepiece is considered amongst one of the top sailing and yachting watches ever made. Its innovative movement offers two functions that are chronograph and regatta 5-minute countdown which is visually indicated on the dial by the 5 rotating cubes. The white gold and pink gold versions of the watch were revealed in 2012 and 2013, and now the company has launched the titanium edition of the Spin Time Regatta at the 2014 Basel World Show.

The new version of the Louis Vuitton watch features a titanium case with crown and push buttons over molded with rubber. Visually, the most noticeable change in the watch is the new half-opened dial enables to see the movement and its circular Côtes de Genève finishing as well as each cube supported by an axle ending with a Maltese cross. The watch comes with an elegant and contemporary-looking black alligator strap with rubber lining.
