German luxury manufacturer Montblanc has had its tryst with timepieces before and the company is no stranger to horology. However, in an effort to mix things up a bit, the luxury brand has recently unveiled its first pocket watch called the 4810 Orbis Terrarum Pocket Watch Transatlantic Limited Edition. Sporting a 53mm stainless steel case, the watch is powered by Montblanc’s automatic Calibre MB 29.20 and has a 42 hour power reserve. The watch’s movement has been assembled in-house by the company. The dial features an image of the Northern Hemisphere and the names of 24 cities, each belonging to one of the 24 time zones.
Once the timepiece is adjusted as required, a user simply needs to press the pusher between 5 and 6 o’clock. Doing so will have the time displayed in front of the arrow at 6 o’clock. To complete the practicality of this pocket watch, Montblanc has added a nifty refined steel chain that will keep the timepiece well within reach and absolutely safe. The watch will be limited to just 110 pieces. Montblanc hasn’t made any mention in regards to the pricing however. Well constructed and extremely useful and stylish, this timepiece by Montblanc certainly is worth the wait!
