Parmigiani Fleurier releases a special edition watch to commemorate the launch of the Bugatti Chiron Sport

At the 88th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti unveiled the more hardcore version of its hypercar called the Chiron Sport. To celebrate the launch of the new version of track-focused Chiron, Bugatti’s watchmaking partner Parmigiani Fleurier has created a special edition Bugatti Type 390 watch that was introduced last year as a commemorative piece for the Chiron. The Chiron Sport on display at the automobile expo is decked out in an extremely appealing two-tone color scheme of painted Italian Red and naked grey carbon fiber on the exterior and Beluga Black with red highlights in the interior. The special edition timepiece by Parmigiani Fleurier adopts the car’s aesthetic features with the same opposing colors.

The white gold case of the Bugatti Type 390 special edition has carbon fiber inserts that reflect the car’s body crafted out of the lightweight material and give the watch its streamlined, sporty look. The numerals on the dial along with the hands are coated in red luminescent material which beautifully contras the black nickel dial. The strap of watch is also in red contrasted with black stitching to match the Chiron Sport’s dual-tone scheme. Mechanically, the watch is exactly the same as the standard model which was released last year and is powered by the same Caliber PF390. There is no word on the availability of watch or its price, but we expect it to be more than the $297,400 price tag of the model it’s based on.
