Rado adds another masterpiece to its r5.5 Automatic collection

With all the new watches being launched at the SIHH 2010, it’s about time a new Rado came along, right? And by the likes of it, Rado seems to take its collaboration with British industrial designer Jasper Morrison one step further. The name of the collection- the r5.5 Automatic- is borrowed from the radius of the square dial and the automatic movement of the chronograph. About the watch, it has been crafted with high-tech ceramics which creates a beautiful combination between the watch case and its bracelet, concealing their links to make the watch appear as a continuous entity.

The matt black dial has striking white indexes and the hands to give the watch a sharp contrast. The face has a sapphire crystal case covering. The date function has been placed at the 3 o’clock. The ceramic crown is also matt black and the automatic movement can be seen through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
