Royal Black Caviar watch to debut at Baselworld 2013


On 25 April, YORK will display their latest watch – Royal Black Caviar at Baselworld. This creation is a tribute by the owner, his highness York prince of Schaumburg-Lippe, to his great grandmother Grand Duchess Wera Konstantinova Romanova of Russia in celebration of the four hundredth anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty.

The Royal Black Caviar is an 18-carat white gold with a case of 44 mm diameter further topped by a bezel setting of 53 black diamonds, which are a total of 3, 2 carats, and 5 black diamond’s on the crown. The sterling silver watch has black enamel with indices and sapphire crystal double-sided. The strap is made from the finest indo-pacific stingray leather with its typical black Perl structure that reminds of caviar eggs.

YORK has collaborated with renowned German Silversmith and Yacht builder Robbe & Berking for this watch to offer more than just a watch, like an experience. Royal Black Caviar watches are a limited edition for only 99 exceptional buyers. It is delivered to the accessory aficionado in a handcrafted Wengé case engraved with the owner’s name and watch serial number.

Robbe & Berking provide an exclusive silver caviar service for two designed especially for the Royal Black Caviar. Added to that is the exclusive petite caviar server with a pair of 24-carat gold plated spoons by Robbe & Berking and a fresh box of “Royal Black Caviar” from Caviar House & Prunier.

To top off this entire experience, his Highness York Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe will pass the watch to its owner. The fashionable accessory is priced at 45,200 euros ($59,500).
