Looks like its celebration time for TAG Heuer. After winning the Red Dot award this year, the famous watchmaker is all set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its famous Monaco watch. The watch is also referred to as the ‘McQueen Monaco’ as it was personally endorsed by Steve McQueen who made it famous in the movie ‘Le Mans’. To commemorate this special anniversary, TAG Heuer is launching an updated version of the Monaco watch. The caseback of this special edition is signed by TAG Heuer honorary chairman Jack Heuer, and engraved with “in tribute to Steve McQueen.” Limited to just 1000 units, this chronograph will be delivered in a special box and accompanied by both a dark blue alligator and punched calfskin strap (resembling the original strap worn by McQueen). This iconic watch is expected to retail in June for a hefty price of $8000.
