TAG Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz wristwatch

TAG Heuer has undertaken the challenge to develop a limited number of exclusive chronographs with the aim to mark the partnership with a mythical automobile producer – Mercedes-Benz. The world of watch-making is stirred up by the tremendous success of the first SLR Chronograph watch, Caliber 36-R, which was initially presented at Basel-world in 2004. It inspired the brand for developing the TAG Heuer SLR watch for Mercedes-Benz that once again proved the brand’s watchmaking expertise and creative approach. The watch is created in the typical SLR way with the case made of lightweight titanium. The rubber bracelet features the SLR’s distinctive gill-like pattern and the case also has similar SLR curves. The special hallmarks of this high-tech timepiece include the arrangement of the chronograph’s buttons beside the dial, echoing the layout of the shift buttons on the automatic transmission selector lever in the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

Throughout its history, TAG Heuer has always been closely related to the world of motorsports. The brand’s watchmakers have applied their matchless creativity and technical sophistication to elaborate some truly innovative timepieces in the horology world.
