Top four watch brands preferred by American millionaires


The United States of America plays home to some of the wealthiest people in the world, and with a recent study to determine the tastes of those earning at least $200,000 per year with minimum net worth of $5 million conducted, we’ve managed to draw up a list of the top 4 luxury watches American millionaires prefer to shop for! As per the 2012 Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI), French manufacturer Breguet ranks the highest, scoring a sweet 8.13 out of 10. Known for superior product design, customer service experience and brand reputation and now part of the Swatch group, Breguet is a favorite amongst the American elite, followed by Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe with a score of 8.05, founded in 1851, located in Geneva and the Vallée de Joux.

Ranked third on the list is yet another French brainchild, Boucheron based in Paris. With a score of 7.99, pentamillionaires seem to favor the brand for its watches, besides its jewelry and perfumes. Ranked fourth on the list with a score of 7.96 remains luxury Swiss watch maker Rolex. The brand also happens to be the most purchased of them all, though America’s millionaires seem to prefer Breguet, when it comes to luxury and exquisiteness.
