A distinct collection of 182 Ferocious Prehistoric Shark Teeth to go under the hammer

If you are a fan of the famed Jaws movies, then this is one auction you cannot miss, and Texas is where you need to be. A distinct collection of 182 ferocious prehistoric shark teeth, set on a huge set of jaws big enough to swallow human beings in one piece, is up for grabs. The teeth belong to a killer shark named Megalodon (Greek for “big tooth”). Collected by amateur fossil hunter Vito Bertucci, who collated the teeth over a period of 20 years, the teeth were picked up from the shores of South Carolina and Georgia.

The 9-by-11 foot jaw set on Plexiglas jaw base will see bidding starts at $625,000. The collection also includes four more 7 inches long rare teeth. Peter Wiggins, assistant director of Heritage’s natural history auctions, said that these teeth could be individually sold for $10,000 to $15,000.
