Bombay Sapphire’s bejeweled martini glasses to go under the hammer

Now a gin distillery wants to do its bit for charity. And so to raise funds for cancer research, this Brit company Bombay Sapphire has come together with Sotheby’s to bring 19 limited-edition martini glasses that have been crafted by some of the world’s most innovative designing minds. The highlight of the show is a glass called “Chalice.” Designed by Australian designer Peter Crisp, the glass spots a very regal look as the glass is crafted in 22 ct gold and platinum. It has been finished with 226 light blue sapphires. The glass is as tall as a 750 ml Bombay Sapphire gin bottle. The martini glass is valued at $25,000.
