Juliens Auctions to auction Star Trek memorabilia

All you sci-fi freaks and Star Trek nuts, Julien’s Auctions has a treat for you. The auction house has announced it will hold a sale of Star Trek film memorabilia on 27th June at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Besides items from the successful 2009 reboot of the Star Trek franchise, the auction will also feature items from the private collection of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s home. So get set to cast your bids on some treasured Star Trek memorabilia like treasured handwritten notes by Roddenberry, a model Starship Enterprise from his office, and costumes worn by his wife, Majel Barrett, who frequently appeared on the show.

The out-of-this-world auction will also include items like a futuristic Parka coat worn by actor Leonard Nimoy as his legendary character Mr. Spock and various costumes and weaponry from the franchise. As if this wasn’t enough, the original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, will also be appearing at Julien’s to offer up some memorabilia of his own. Sure to be one hell of an event, Star Trek fans from across the globe can be expected to descend into Las Vegas for this auction. The auction will also feature a custom Harley Davidson motorcycle and a pinball machine inspired by Rescue 911, Shatner’s documentary series.
