Made entirely out of crystal a Chinese buyer paid $3.2 million for this one of a kind Piano

The “Crystal Piano” received its fifteen minutes of fame when it graced the iconic Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

Only recently, a private bidder shelled out 22 million yuan (USD 3.22 million), when the legendary instrument went under the hammer at a recent auction in Beijing.

Of course, the piano has gained a significant amount of popularity as million of television viewers watched renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang playing “Starlight” on the instrument that night.

True to its title, the piano has been created completely out of crystal. Designed specially for the opulent occasion, the piano displays a true sonata of art and music.
