Paul Smith and Rapha join hands for all new cyclewear collection

If you’re an avid cyclist, you probably understand the importance of wearing the right gear for the sport. And while comfort is the prime-most aspect, you’d only earn extra points for towing down your bike in style! Here to help you nail the art of dressing your best when it comes to cycling is renowned designer Paul Smith who recently joined hands with Rapha for a brand-new capsule collection.

The exciting new ensemble draws heavily from Smith’s own childhood memories and his personal collection of cycling memorabilia such as cycle magazines, incorporated bikes, clothing and ephemera from street markets across Italy and France – some of which now sit in his office collection in Covent Garden, and also bear references in a book published by Thames & Hudson. A doting cycling enthusiast himself, Smith recognized the challenges of the sport well and hasn’t failed to eliminate them with his new collection.

As part of the capsule, one can lay hands on six jazzy pieces including – a forest-green short-sleeve base layer (£50), men’s jersey (£145) and bib shorts (£200), as well as an extended range in deep navy available exclusively to members of the Rapha cycling club (costing £135 for a 12-month membership). The collection also boasts of Smith’ signature multicolored stripes- an element that makes it all the more endearing to those with an eye for style. The Paul Smith X Rapha collection will be available for purchase on Paulsmith.com onward May 29.
