Harrods isn’t one to shy away from extravaganza, and to much extent the world accepts it. But, recently they have been receiving jeers and mockery for selling something which some people describe to be costlier than their homes. Online shoppers have been on about the store’s Dolce and Gabbana fridge being sold for a whopping $45,300. This is a collaboration between the fashion house and Sicilian brand Smeg. The hand-painted refrigerator is part of a range that also consists of other kitchenware such as a kettle, blender, and citrus juicer.
Harrods is selling a fridge for £36k. You could nearly buy the entire Sol Cinema for that!

Shoppers went on a frenzy on social media – one person said “My first house basely cost that” while another wrote, “My mother-in-law visited London town and this delightful refrigerator was only £36,000 in Harrods.” Another one said, “Santa’s gonna struggle to get that down my chimney,” while yet another said, “I bought one for the spare Christmas food!”
What is strange though, is that, this is nothing new, is it? Harrods believes in doing things that may raise an eyebrow. And, they are also known for their zestful collaborations. Case of the sour grapes maybe? Or perhaps, MAYbe just taking a break from Brexit.
