The biggest Airfix kit in the world featuring the McLaren MP4/6 will go under the hammer

Excellence creates legends, and reviving them over time is what establishes their significance. Artist Jay Burridge has made an art installation of the McLaren MP4/6, which took Ayrton Senna on his third and final title in 1991. The Airfix sculpture, which Jay made in 1992, will be sold by International car auctioneers COYS at their Nurburgring sale in Germany on August 13 for an estimated price of $50,000 to $82,000. It was unveiled to the public last month at the Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. It also coincided with the release of the film Senna attracting further curiosity and appeal.
