Curious about what the world’s oldest timepiece will fetch at auction? So are we. Alex Carroll, on Valentine’s Day, is auctioning the rare and exceptional timepiece. Titled ‘The Crown Jewel of the Sea,’ it is touted as the most expensive Valentine’s Day auction ever. Alex Carroll, who has a penchant for collecting and transforming nature-made heart-shaped finds, says, “it is number one in his limited edition series of clocks and pendants.” The timepiece is made from a 20 million-year-old naturally heart-shaped fossilized Bali Star Coral. It is paired with a matching gold pendant made from natural heart-shaped red sea glass.
Bidding for The Crown Jewel of the Sea timepiece will start at $1 million, and all proceeds from the auction will benefit the winning bidder’s choice of charity.
Love can be valued with money but the world’s most expensive Valentine gift is worth much more than million dollars.
