Yoshiki’s Crystal Piano is breaking records at an auction to help Japan

As the world puts its best foot forward to bring out a self sufficient nation from a devastating disaster, Yoshiki just realized how much the world cares. Yoshiki put up his a crystal piano under the hammer for charity. The customized crystal Kawai CR-40 piano, that too owned by the Japan’s biggest heavy metal rock stars is up for auction. The Rich Times reports that last when they checked the bid, it already brought the price to $2.6 million and keen bidders still have another 5 days to go before the auction ends. However, the co-sponsors Yahoo! Auctions, put up online that “due to system overload, bidder confirmation procedure and other factors resulting from unexpected high traffic, ‘Crystal Piano’ charity auction currently underway has been temporarily put on hold.”

But the bidding date is said to be extended. Other big celebrities to put their stuff up on auction include Britney Spears, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, Cher, Marilyn Manson, Anthony Kiedis and Stan Lee. A new item is said to go under the hammer online every week, Yahoo! Japan added.
