Model Valentina Sampaio becomes the first-ever transgender face of Armani Beauty

After working with Victoria’s Secret and starring in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Model Valentina Sampaio is now set to become the first-ever transgender face of Armani Beauty alongside the likes of Cate Blanchett and Ryan Reynolds.

The 22-year-old, who is from Brazil, will star in the brand’s 2022 beauty campaigns shot by Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson. Her first ad will be for the brand’s new Lip Power lipstick collection, wherein she can be seen posing in front of a red background with her pink pout on display.

Commenting on the collaboration, Sampaio, in a statement, said, ‘I am so excited to be joining Armani as a beauty face. As a trans woman, this collaboration is a great milestone and a personal dream come true for me.’

‘Makeup has played such a meaningful role in my personal evolution, and I am grateful to Armani beauty for embracing diversity, enabling creative expression, and empowering individual beauty,’ she further added.

Remarking similarly, Giorgio Armani noted, “Armani beauty is my vision of what beauty should be today: meaningful and cross-cutting. Just like my clothes, my beauty products aim to empower all women, regardless of their culture, country of origin, or background.”

I am proud to have Valentina as the new face of Armani beauty: I admire her will, commitment, and determination. Valentina is not afraid to speak, and her words are important and touching,” the designer added.

Earlier, Sampaio has walked in São Paulo Fashion Week and has had stints with L’Oréal, Dior, H&M, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, and Philipp Plein. In November last year, she also posed alongside Giorgio Armani on the cover of a special issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain.
