Bonhams to get swanky new headquarters in London

Auction house Bonhams is stepping up its appearance with a new international headquarters based in London offering a class apart and much-advanced salesroom to its prestigious customers. The £30 million ($48.7 million) building, which will be constructed at the current location on 101 New Bond Street, will be designed by award-winning architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands. While the current building remains, a futuristic 21st century structure will emerge from behind which boast an array of modern facilities and auction experiences. The new structure will feature 3 new and bigger salesrooms, preview galleries, a café and a well lit workspace for its staff. The project, once approved, is expected to be complete in December 2013.
