From famed vehicles to fabulous houses – Aston Martin has made quite the jump! In surprising connoisseurs pleasantly, the marquee recently lent its design capabilities to a private residential estate in association with S3 Architecture.
Christened as the ‘Sylvan Rock’, the residence features an angular design that fittingly mimics the geological stone formations on the property. It is located on a 55-acre land in New York’s Hudson Valley and can be accessed via a scenic 2,000 ft driveway surrounded by trees and rock walls.
Built using blackened cedar and glass, the main residence occupies an area of 5,983 sq.ft. It features four bathrooms, two half baths, a three-car automotive gallery garage, a custom wine cellar in Aston Martin’s staple cross-hatched lattice design, a pool, and an 873 sq.ft pool house. It also houses multi-functional guest house “pods”, a treehouse, and an agricultural garden.
Commenting on it, Cathal Loughnane, Head of Aston Martin Partnerships said, “Sylvan Rock is a strong marriage of design sensibilities,” while further adding, “Creating a luxury residence with warm textures, bold forms, and exceptional privacy is very aligned with Aston Martin’s own vision. We also wanted the owner and their guests to experience the three-dimensional feel of the house in an organic way, just like you experience one of our cars – there is no single façade that dominates.”
