New Zealand brings luxury in the sporting world with $25m tennis center

Move over Australia, New Zealand is now gearing up to have a world class tennis center full of luxury and comforts. And the best part is, it will not use a single penny from the taxpayers for this $25million extravaganza! Tipped to draw large number of international tennis stars, the center is said to be well equipped and well planned. The gym will feature a $2 million state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weights equipment. This project will spot a $7 million sliding roof in the final stages of completion.

The now temporary Lufthansa stand would become a permanent feature, and the center will have a capacity of 3600. The few features will include a Rooftop swimming pool, 25m indoor swimming pool, children’s pool, spa and sauna rooms, licensed bar and sports cafe and juice bar, hair and beauty salon, lounge bar and outdoor terrace dining area and a crèche for young children. The center will also boast of conference rooms and a 400-person capacity function centre.
