Bollywood film maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra acquires property in Beverley Hills

It is hard to ignore the growing popularity of Bollywood films and stars in the west. Many Bollywood films have done what many Hollywood films have failed to and actually managed to get the international audience hooked to their seats. And basking in this international glory is Bollywood’s famous filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Director of this year’s biggest hit (in the Hindi film industry), 3 Idiots, Vidhu can add another feather to his cap. The successful director has recently purchased a plush pad in Hollywood’s most desired address, Beverley Hills. His home is situated exactly opposite the Beverly Hotel, making him neighbors of the rich and famous Hollywood folks, like George Clooney, Jen Aniston, and the like. The purchase can also be attributed to his next project, an English film titled, Broken Horse. Rumors are even rife about having Mickey Rourkeas plying one of the leads in the film. The work on the film’s elaborate sets is already said to have begun in New Mexico. And the famed director will be shuttling from Mumbai to the US every fortnight when the filming begins in September.

Going by his last venture’s success, Vidhu shouldn’t be surprised if quite a few of his high profile neighbors come knocking by.
