Carla Bruni-Sarkozy to add sparkle to Swarovski Elements charity event


If you thought the French First Lady is satisfied being the arm candy of her President husband Nicolas Sarkozy, you are definitely wrong. The former supermodel who is busy pursuing a career in acting and currently filming her debut movie directed by Woody Allen, is making sure she finds time for charity as well. The First Lady has shown her charitable side by offering her patronage to a charity event held by Swarovski Elements Swarovski Elements has commissioned 22 designers, including Givenchy, Lanvin, Vivienne Westwood and Sonia Rykiel to create a Swarovski crystal-adorned little black dress for this event. The little black dresses with Swarovski designs will be displayed in September in New York after which they will be auctioned. The money raised from the sale of these bespoke dresses will be donated to the American Cancer Society and La Ligue Nationale Contre le Cancer.
