Cristiano Ronaldo walked into a London bar and spent $34,000 on fine wine in just 15 minutes

Cristiano Ronaldo has earned himself not just a big name but an even bigger fortune from his football career. And in enjoying every bit of it, the star along with his girlfriend Georgiana Rodriguez recently devoured wine worth a whopping £27,000 ($34,706) within a span of just 15 minutes at a plush diner! Yes, you read that right!

As per reports, the duo along with a bunch of friends were visiting Mayfair’s preferred celeb destination- Scott’s, where they ordered two bottles of rare and rather expensive spirits, one after the other. The soccer ace first kicked off with an £18,000 bottle of Richebourg Grand Cru – the world’s most expensive wine. The vintage spirit comes from France’s Burgundy region and is so rare that it is not on the menu and is neither offered to regular guests. Next, Ronaldo splurged on the Bordeaux courtesy of Pomerol’s Petrus – a bottle of the 1982 vintage which cost him a whopping £9,000.

The soccer star was absolutely unpuzzled by the shocking bill amount and was rather quick to leave the venue, without even finishing the second bottle! As stated by one of the sources, “His (Ronaldo’s) group were in and out of Scott’s in little over 15 minutes. They hadn’t booked and just rocked up and sat at the bar. They had about a glass and a half of wine each before rushing off to watch some tennis. They didn’t even finish the second bottle.” He further added, “Ronaldo was in a great mood and wanted to celebrate.” Well, celebrate he certainly did!
