Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow will appear as a guest shark on Shark Tank’s upcoming season

Gwyneth Paltrow, better known as businesswoman and founder of Goop,will be facing the camera again as a guest shark for Shark Tank’s 14th season. The Hollywood actress who starred in nearly 60 movies like Shakespeare in Love, Iron Man, and more will make her debut in the business format. As per Deadline, Paltrow will be joined by DoorDash CEO and co-founder Tony Xu as a guest shark alongside long-standing Sharks Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary. Gwyneth Paltrow launched Goop in 2008, and she became CEO of the company in 2016.

The wellness brand started out as a weekly e-mail newsletter. It expanded into e-commerce, collaborating with fashion brands, launching pop-up shops, hosting wellness summits, and even boasts a print magazine and docuseries for Netflix. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled a $120 diaper studded with gemstones in a satirical move. It was made with alpaca wool lining to poke at the excessiveness of an everyday necessity for babies.

Over the years, Goop has been ridiculed for its vagina candles, bee stings, and faced the wrath of NASA. Paltrow’s presence on Shark Tank may give exciting tidbits on what it’s like to be on the other side of such a business. Shark Tank season 14 is set to premiere on Friday, September 23, on ABC.
