Lady Gaga knows how to turn heads and every public appearance of hers is a fitting testimony of that. In doing what she does best, the diva stunned us with her sizzle yet again – this time with her choice of jewelry at the 2019 Oscar Event. To compliment her attire and bring out the best of her beauty, the new-born movie star wore a mesmerizing 128-carat Tiffany Yellow Diamond – a piece worthy enough to awe a crowd of millions!
Nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song for her film, “A Star Is Born,”, Gaga wore the diamond with a black Alexander McQueen gown and matching gloves, as she walked down the red carpet with the panache of a well-deserved super star. This also marks a debut for the 141-year-old, 128.5-carat yellow diamond to ever be worn on the red carpet, after it was last seen in the public eye when Audrey Hepburn showcased it while promoting “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” in the year 1961.
The yellow jewel is said to have been discovered in 1877 in South Africa and is now set as a central stone in a necklace that includes more than 100 carats of diamonds surrounding it. As quipped by Harper’s Bazar, the diamond can otherwise be seen on display in the brand’s Fifth Avenue flagship location. However, for now you could just see Gaga rock the canary Yellow beauty at the Oscars instead!
