Leonardo DiCaprio is the highest-paid Hollywood actor for the year


When Jack died way back in the 1997 blockbuster Titanic, many young hearts cried, and a heart-throb was born. And after all this time, in 2011, the stunning Leonardo DiCaprio is getting his due, as Forbes has revealed the blue-eyed boy to be the highest-paid Hollywood actor for the year. With two of his films (“Shutter Island” and “Inception”) hitting a total of $1.1 billion marks at the worldwide box office, DiCaprio earned a staggering $77 million, reports Forbes. And considering projects like “J. Edgar,” “The Great Gatsby,” and “Django Unchained” is in his kitty, that number will only grow.

This year, placed on number two, is last year’s leader Johnny Depp, who earned $50 million this year, unlike the $75 million he earned last year. The other stars in the top five include Adam Sandler, who ranked 3rd with $40 million, Will Smith at No. 4 with $36 million, and Tom Hanks at the 5th spot with $35 million.
