Already well known for pushing the social media envelope with his Tweet Shop, Mark Jacobs is now redefining model casting calls with their new digital model casting campaign. The brand made the announcement on April 2nd, tweeting: “Wanna be the new face of MbMJ? Tag your photo #CastMeMarc (opt into T&C) & enter to win!” The brand will accept entries on Twitter and Instagram and winning pictures will be contacted by Establishment, a New York based agency.
Predictably the brand has been bombarded with entries on both social channels as thousands of hopefuls vie for the enviable title of being the next face of Marc Jacobs. Pictures are pouring in, rich in attitude and imagination as Marc Jacobs fans –both men and women- strive to put their best face forward.
Will Marc find the fresh face he’s looking for? Only time will tell! But one thing is for certain, Marc Jacobs is certainly keeping the fashion world on its toes! From his stark minimalist campaign with Victoria Beckham way back in 2008 to his recent Spring 2014 spread with Miley Cyrus, Jacobs has never failed to pull a rabbit out of his (incredibly stylish!) hat. We don’t doubt that the designer will put the fashion community through another tail spin with his next move and we’re sure he’ll have fun doing it!
