Pharrellel parking, a new term, originated from the renowned singer Pharell Williams’s struggle to park the Tesla Cybertruck, unveiled in November to select customers. This long-awaited electric pickup from Tesla was seen in Miami’s Design District. The truck’s size transformed a simple parking task into a challenging and embarrassing ordeal due to numerous onlookers.
An exasperated Pharrell Williams eventually abandoned the attempt, leaving the vehicle as it was. As Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director, he tried to maneuver the full-size electric pickup but after ten minutes, left it to a valet.
Cameras captured this incident, with the first batch of the sizable Cybertruck released on November 30, 2023. Measuring nearly 19 feet, the base model of the Cybertruck is priced at $60,990, the all-wheel drive variant at $79,990, and the top-tier “Cyberbeast” at $99,990, according to Business Insider. Interestingly, Elon Musk initially opposed adding side mirrors to the Cybertruck.

However, U.S. regulations mandate mirrors for safety despite advanced technology. Pharrell’s predicament might have been more challenging without them. The incident was recorded and can be viewed online. Netizens reacted humorously with comments like, ‘He can’t Pharellel park,’ ‘Pharrell can’t parallel,’ and ‘Sir, you can’t park there.’ One person attributed the difficulty to the Tesla Cybertruck, saying, ‘The car isn’t practical or built for the urban jungle.’ Regardless of parking challenges, driving a Cybertruck is bound to attract attention.
