Prince Andrew loses $50,000 to Descent International

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, is the latest victim to the economic downturn. The British royal who had put a hefty sum of $50,000 as a deposit to rent a luxury chalet in Klosters for next year’s ski season, he lost to a company that has gone into liquidation. The Prince had booked a suite at the Chalet Eugenia, the luxury pad built by Thyssen-Bornemisza, which coincided with the Annual World Economic Forum to be held in Davos next year. Descent International went into liquidation this week, leaving debts of $2.47 million. Descent International’s past clients included J. K Rowling, Rowan Atkinson, and the Beckhams.
