If you watched the Apeshit video by Beyoncé and Jay-Z (or the Carters, as they prefer to be called), you can’t have missed that the backdrop to the music video was the world’s most famous museum, the Louvre. Now the French museum is courting fans of the music industry power couple with a 90 minute tour dedicated exclusively to the artworks featured in the video.
That’s right, if you’ve been curious about the symbolism that Bey and Jay were going for, or if you just want to recreate some of their poses, this guided tour gives you an insight into the 17 artworks featured in the video which include the Mona Lisa and The Coronation of Napoleon.
The special tour is currently offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, but it is unclear whether the tour is a permanent addition to the museums offerings or if it it’s only available for a limited time. We’ll be booking our tickets to Paris if you need us.
