The founders of Google, Larry Page, and Sergey Brin get to enjoy the ultimate perk, that is the federally managed runway for their private jet, which is a few minutes away from their offices. For a cost of $1.3million a year, they get to park their customized wide-body Boeing767-200, as well as 2 other jets for the top google executives, on the NASA airport, Moffet field. This field is closed to private jet owners and most of the Silicon Valley billionaires had been eyeing this plush Moffet field to avail of some parking space.
Reportedly the officials at the Ames research center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration said the agency signed a unique agreement the previous month which allows it to place scientific and researchers on planes used by the Google founders. NASA will collect the scientific data on some flights of those jets which in addition to the Boeing 767 200 includes two Gulfstream Vs. After this news probably there will be an onslaught of billionaires to get access to the Moffet field.
